Hey beautiful!

​

Have you ever experience this: you are in the shower, running errands, doing your makeup, etc. and you have a million ideas in your head, but then when you actually have the time to sit down to work on one of those great ideas and then all the sudden all the ideas have floated away or you can't really remember what you had in mind?

​

That was me trying to write this email. 🙃😂

​

BUT I didn't want another week to go by where I did not encourage you.

​

You see, Reader, the season I am currently in is one of refinement + pruning. And in this season the Lord has reminded me the importance of encouragement + community.

​

Why is that?

​

Because there was a time in my life several years ago where I felt hopeless, helpless, and brokenhearted. And in those dark moments I knew the only one I could run to for help was Jesus. I knew that the situation was no longer in my hands and I had absolutely no ability to control anything. But He did. And He could help me. He could hold me. And He could direct my steps one moment at a time when I had no clue where to go.

​

And He faithfully showed up.

​

Jesus showed up when I was in tears and just could not be consoled. He showed up and healed my heart that seemed like it could never be mended. He showed up when I was at my darkest and my lowest and no one else could understand my pain.

​

And again, almost 7 and 12 years later, I am in a similar season. A season where I have had to let go of what I want, let go of what I think should be the path, and let go of the outcome I so desperately wanted so that I can grab hold of Jesus' hand to lead me, heal me, and help me when all seems hopeless, helpless, and lost.

​

The point of this email is not to just tell you what season of life I am in, but I am hoping that as I share these highlights in a dark season that it would be a reminder to you, Reader, that Jesus is always with you no matter how dark your situation is right now.

​

So if you are going through a fiery trial today or you are in the midst of being pruned, be encouraged that God would never allow something to come against you that He will not utilize for His glory + your ultimate good.

​

Here are some reminds that I hope you will meditate on, take to God in prayer, and seek His word for yourself on:

• And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28 NKJV​

• The story of Job + his faithfulness to God despite his circumstances - And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. - Job 42:10
  ​
• But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. - Genesis 50:20

​

In these hard times it isn't about trying to manufacture an outcome we want, speeding through an uncomfortable process, or trying to distract ourselves to make the time pass. It is simply about just being... Being with God in His presence, allowing Him to heal + transform us into the women He created us to be and then OUT OF that abundance of His love, His healing, and His guidance going forth to do what He has created us to do.
